For students living more than 30 miles from Brock University, or otherwise unable to attend scheduled in-class programs, CCOVI offers the WSET Level 2 Award in Spirits online.

This 5 week specialized course includes 6 hours of study per week. However the course has no fixed study times - this course utilises on-line resources to allow students to study alongside their peers under the guidance of a WSET tutor.  Each week includes a series of online activities, often based around group discussion, with an online tutor allocated to guide the students' studies. A timed feedback test is provided at the end of each week for students to practice for the exam and assess their understanding of that week's topics. Group tasting activities are also provided to familiarise students with the Systematic Approach to Tasting specific to spirits.

The WSET Level 2 award in spirits has been designed to provide in-depth knowledge of Brandy, Gin, Rum, Tequila, Vodka, Whiskies and Liqueurs.  This qualification is ideal for the LCBO, distilleries, bartenders and trade employees working with a variety of spirits, answering customer queries and making informed selections of spirits in a wide variety of situations.

Upon registration and receipt of course fee, students will receive the course study pack in the mail prior to class.  WSET will contact students via email a day or two prior to the course start date using the email given at the time of registration.

Students requesting registration after the Deadline to Register but before the start of the course will be subject to a $75 late booking fee and may be subject to additional mail or courier charges.

Withdrawal Policy:  Withdrawal prior to WSET registration and receipt of course materials:  Refund of tuition, less $50 administration fee.  Withdrawal after student is registered with WSET:  No refund.
